Interactive is in our DNA.
Starting as far back as Cyan’s PC games Myst and Riven in the 1990s, to Valve’s Half Life, and Bungie’s Halo trilogy, our history with interactive media and gaming is strong. With Microsoft, Nintendo, and RealNetworks in Seattle’s backyard along with over 150 other noteworthy game-technology companies, the Puget Sound region can claim to be one of the top game-development centers in the world.
A growing Interactive Media industry hub.
Over the years, the Puget Sound area has become home to more gaming and interactive media companies than almost any other city in the country—a higher concentration than even Silicon Valley. And our community actively supports the interactive and gaming industry with robust trade organizations and even dedicated curricula at local colleges.
