EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program: Panel discussion followed by breakout sessions

This program offers economic development practitioners, business owners seeking capital, real estate developers, foreign investors and others an opportunity to learn about the EB-5 Immigrant Investors Program and speak with a variety of practitioners.

Administered by United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), EB-5 connects potential foreign investors with a US capital investment that will enhance the regional economy and create a stipulated number of jobs by the end of two years, amongst other conditions. If these conditions are met, the investor receives a green card at the end of two years. The minimum investment per investor for this program is $1 million, unless it falls in rural areas or areas of high unemployment. While EB-5 offers opportunity, there is caution to be taken.

Coordinated by the Foreign Direct Investment Working Group, the program will provide insights into the EB-5 opportunity from a variety of perspectives, followed by breakout sessions with representatives from:

• The legal community
• Economic development council community
• Regional Centers
• The development/construction community
• Washington State Department of Commerce

Admission to this program is $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
