41st Annual Economic Forecast Conference
Technology & Innovation in the Region: This Way to the Future!

The Economic Development Council of Seattle and King County held the 41st Annual Economic Forecast Conference on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Washington State Convention Center, Seattle. The event included timely forecasts from nationally recognized experts including Dick Conway, The Puget Sound Economic Forecaster; Ken Goldstein, The Conference Board; and Michael Dueker, Russell Investments; and special guest speaker Governor-Elect Jay Inslee and Congresswoman Suzan DelBene.

This year’s conference highlighted the opportunities and challenges for our region’s technology industry with featured keynote speaker Brad Smith, Microsoft Corporation, and technology industry executives Clayton Wood, Synapse Product Development; Elissa Fink, Tableau Software; and Dan Matte, F5 Networks. Accounting for nearly two-thirds of Washington state’s job growth in the last decade — the technology industry plays a pivotal role in our region’s continued economic success.
